Photogrammetry

Introduction
A new speciality of BEEX is the combination of Digital Surveying Techniques with Photogrammetry to document buildings and documents. This method allows us to create digital vector drawings of very complex features with high precision an very fast, but with low costs. Our current examples are the Royal mausoleum in Cairo (Egypt) and the pavement with many burial slabs of the Pieterskerk in Leiden (The Netherlands).
The main aspect of our technique is it's symplicity. We digitise rectified digital images of the monument, based on precise measurements by the Total Station. This allows us to work very fast, yet to keep fully in control. And because no expensive additional software or hardware is required, this means we can keep our fares low.
The following images are from Qubba Effendina, the Neo Mamluk Royal Mausoleum in Cairo.
